This is Tania who along with her brother and sister, George and Sasha, has arrived in the UK and is now enjoying life with one of our foster families.
Their poor mum is a stray in a rural area, she keeps giving birth to at least 3 pups per litter. Local rescuers have tried for nearly 2 years to catch her, so they can neuter her to prevent her constant stream of babies. They manage to catch most of her babies and find them homes but the cycle really needs to end for everyones well being. Especially the mums. But until that time, the rescuers continue to help her offspring.
Tania and siblings are the latest pups and now old enough to travel we would love for them to find happy lives in the UK.
Tania is a happy active pup who is sociable with dogs and can live with cats.
She is fully vaccinated and microchipped, but is still too young to be neutered so adopters will be asked to commit to doing this as soon as he is old enough.
Tania is doing great on foster but her foster family believe she needs another dog in the home to offer her guidance and confidence.
Please only apply if you are 100% committed to the hard work a puppy can bring, broken sleep, toilet training, socialisation, boundaries. The first week is very important and with the right boundaries and guidance Tania will easily adjust and make a lovely addition to any home, but adopters need to be fully prepared.
Please only submit an application if you meet the criteria and are ready to proceed.
Our foster home has provided the feedback below:
Dog's Name: Tania
Where does Tania sleep?
Tania sleeps in her bed next to us on the floor. She settles down really well but has needed an early morning garden visit so far.
How is Tania with current pets?
She has fitted in so easily with our dogs and wants to play with them. We also have a very brave cat that she plays with. She is fine with both our cats.
Is Tania clean indoors?
Yes we have only had 1 accident on the first night but she has used the puppy pads a bit as well. She prefers to toilet in the bushes in the garden and we give her lots of praise when she goes out side. We do let her out regularly and she potters in and out on her own. .
Can Tania be left alone?
Yes. She has been left alone with our other dogs but she does whine a little if she finds herself really on her own.
How is Tania out on walks?
She loves to walk, and sniffs around a lot and wants to play.. She goes out twice a day 1 long and 1 short walk. We keep her on the medium length lead when she is out as she is still new to us but she just trots around with our other dogs. I don't think it will be long before she can go off lead alongside our other dogs. She is great with people and other dogs but is scared of traffic so we are sitting and watching traffic bit at the moment.
How does Tania walk on the lead?
She is good on the lead and doesn't pull.
Has Tania met other dogs?
Yes. She is very good with them and really just wants to play.
How is Tania with humans?
Tania is a little shy at first but she is such a sweet dog and loves to be fussed and cuddled and have her tummy tickled. She is very food motivated which is great.
Have you noticed if Tania is afraid of any particular things?
Traffic is the only thing she seems to be afraid of.
Any other useful information ?
Tania is the sweetest gentlest dog that deserves a really lovely home - preferably with another dog or children to play with.
What is Tanis's ideal home?
Tania would love a home with another youngish dog or children and lots and lots of cuddles. She has the sweetest nature.
