Our dogs need the guidance which other dogs provide so we are asking for experienced, committed adopters who have another friendly dog in the house or daily meetings. You must be committed to the patience and training required with all rescue dogs, as this can be a lot of work and we want to ensure adopters are fully committed so dogs do not get returned as this is very unsettling for the dogs.
Our dogs deserve better after all they have endured in their short lives.

This is Spock - this lovely young chap has spent all his short life in a shelter where he had no one-to-one contact with, our affection from, humans. He has come a long way in his foster home since arriving in the UK, but is still a work in progress.
Spock and Cora are the last 2 siblings of an enclosure of 7 who were confined in a small enclosure with Stevie and Florie. Not much space to run just wait without toys walks or cuddles.
They have been there since birth and so missed all the important socialisation but all the other siblings have thrived and now it’s Spocks turn to find his forever home.
Spock is 8 months, neutered and fully grown. Small size we do not know his breeds. But estimate small pinscher type.
Spock need a patient experienced home who will give him some time to bond and settle and learn the ropes. He has been great in foster following his foster mum around and generally being a happy boy but there is still some work to go so we would not allow him to go to a first dog home.
His ideal home would have another dog in as he needs to meet and learn so if no dog in the home then daily access, walks, play etc.
If you’re keen to offer Spock his forever home and have the experience, time and are 100% committed then please visit the website and check the adoption criteria and if a match please complete an application form.
IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ADOPT IMMEDIATELY PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AS WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO RESPOND TO FAMILIES WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT IMMEDIATELY.
Our foster home has provided the feedback below:
Dogs name: Spock
Where does Spock sleep at night ?
First few nights I slept downstairs with him now he’s settled he’s with me upstairs as he likes to be around humans.
How is Spock with other pets?
He’s with his sibling who is also with me I foster, she is alot shyer, he does like the company of her around. So would need to meet other dogs daily.
Is Spock clean indoors ?
First few days as to be expected he had a few accidents-now clean indoors.
Can Spock be left alone ?
I’ve left him 15-20 mints at first now been left now been left up to an hour but he is with his sibling.
How is Spock on walks ?
At the moment he is still nervous and we use a slip lead but he will blossom the next few days.
How does Spock Spock walk on lead ?
Still a little unsure but improving daily.
Has Spock met other dogs ?
He is worried at first which is normal but just time and meeting lots and he will be fine.
How is Spock with humans?
Initially nervous around a few dog savvy friends I’ve had to visit however, he did slowly come round and sniffed them - again a work in progress.
Have you noticed if Spock is afraid of any particular things?
Generally anxious with sudden noises, when hoovering he sat on the sofa and watched.
Any other useful information ?
When Spock and his sibling first arrived they were very shut down and nervous. Spock is a little braver than his sibling - first to explore the garden and approach me and accept affection. After a few days he jumped up and sat next to me and nuzzled my arm for affection. It’s clear to me with time and patience given to this delightful little boy he would flourish in a family home.
Because of Spock's shyness I don’t feel he would cope with a young family.
Spock in time would suit a family who enjoys the outdoors. He would blossom in a calm home with maybe a friendly dog to teach him how good life can be
And given time and patience will make progress.
