This is Rosie one of a litter of pups who, along with Faith their mum, were taken into foster care in Crete a little over four months ago.  The family had been dumped on rocky, waste ground but Faith had managed to feed her litter, although in a very poor state herself.

Once the pups were weaned and Faith was back to full health, she was brought to the UK and is now enjoying life in a wonderful new home.

We are pleased to say that
all the pups progressed well having received vet care & regular check-ups and are now ready to find a new home in the UK.They have been vaccinated and microchipped but are too young to be neutered - so adopters will be asked to commit to doing this as soon as their pup is old enough.

Rosie has spent a little time in a foster home so she has seen something of living in a domestic environment. However she is a puppy who needs ongoing training training. Her new family will need to be prepared for the consistent work of introducing a pup to domestic life in the UK - basic training, toileting, walking on and off lead, getting used to noises and living in a home.

The decision to adopt a rescue dog should not be taken lightly - we have had dogs returned as people have not been fully prepared for the consistent work that maybe needed. If you invest time and energy into the advice we give you, Rosie will adapt well to her new UK life.

Please note:
A reminder - Chimney Farm will be closing by end of 2023 so all adopters need to be aware there will be no rescue back up after November 1st. However, we would like to assure new adoptive families that our rehoming team will be available for advice during the early months of their dog's settling-in period.
