Meet Milo who has just arrived from Crete and is settling down in his UK foster home while he waits to find his forever family..
Milo is fully vaccinated and microchipped, but is still too young to be neutered so adopters will be asked to commit to doing this as soon as he is old enough. Although he has spent a some time in foster, he is in need of continued training. His new family will need to be prepared for the consistent work of introducing a pup to domestic life in the UK - basic training, walking on and off lead, getting used to noises and living in a home. If no other dogs in the home then Milo will need to meet other dogs regularly. So we ask that all applicants provide full details in their applications of their plans for routine, walks and socialisation. Our foster home has provided the feedback below: Dog's name: Milo Arrival date: 4th April 2023 Where does Milo sleep at night? Milo sleeps in his bed next to our bed (He will sneak on the bed for cuddles if allowed 😉) . He sleeps from 11pm until 7am and is clean overnight. How is Milo with current pets? We have 3 small female dogs of our own and we are looking after a large female Lab. Milo has been great with all of them. He is desperate to play, but they are not obliging yet. He has been very respectful and fitted into the pack very well. We also have a cat who Milo just wants to sniff. Milo is very excited about the chickens and would love to “play” with them given the chance 😊 Is Milo clean in doors? Yes, Milo has been amazing!! We had a wee accident the first night but nothing since. He loves the garden and happily goes out at any opportunity. Can Milo be left alone? Yes, Milo has been left with our other dogs for up to 1 hour with no problem at all. If he has been walked, he will just sleep. He is clean and has not chewed anything….so far!! Is Milo out for walks? Yes, Milo loves his walks and gets very excited when it is walkies time. How does Milo walk on the lead? Milo is great on the lead and walks nicely. He can be a little strong initially but soon settles down. He loves to sniff and snuffle about. He is super sociable and we are loving walking him. Has Milo met other dogs? Yes, Milo has been great with every dog that we have met. He has lovely doggy manners and will just have a sniff. Other dogs seem to like Milo 😊 How is Milo with humans? Milo LOVES people and is very affectionate. He loves a fuss and lots of cuddles and kisses. He really enjoys snuggles on the sofa. Milo is very playful and so much fun!! He is not a needy dog though and will happily settle down on his own or entertain himself with his toys. Milo loves my sons who are aged 11 and 14 and they in turn adore him. He is a typical puppy and can be a little mouthy and jumpy, but he responds well to the word No. Have you noticed Milo is afraid of any particular things? Milo is incredible and is just taking everything in his stride. We haven’t found anything that he is afraid of. Any other useful information? Milo loves his food and will eat anything. He is having 3 meals a day as he is a growing puppy. I think Milo could live as an only dog but would need lots of doggie playdates to keep him well socialised. He would also enjoy the company of another well-adjusted dog who could show him the ropes. He can live with cats. Milo will grow fast, and he is going to need lots of exercise so would love a family who will take him for lovely long walks. Milo loves all the toys and interacting people or the other dogs. He is also good at playing on his own and will happily entertain himself. He enjoys chewing on a hoof or an antler. He also loves running off with anything he can get his paws on. Milo has a big character and will need firm boundaries put in place from the start. He is a big ball of fun and love and with some basic training he will be the most amazing family dog. Milo is adorable!! He is funny, sweet, and so lovable. In a short space of time, he has absolutely stolen our hearts. Milo has so much love to give. We are so excited that he will soon find his forever home and a family who will give him all the love and kindness that he deserves. Good luck gorgeous Milo xx 06/04 |
