Meet Gino, one of a litter of 6 pups abandoned one night in a children's playground when they were only 5 weeks old.
He is full of character and mischief, loves cuddles and responds well to his name.

Gino arrived to the UK and is being a lovely sweet boy in foster. He is learning all about a fun happy life in the UK.

Gino is a lovely natured dog. He is a lively pup who just loves to play with other dogs. He loves toys and will happily amuse himself with a chew toy or a tuggy. He hasn’t got a nasty bone in his body and loves human attention. One of his favourite places is on the sofa, cuddled up to his human or his fur sister or brother. He loves tummy rubs and ear tickles and absolutely adores his food! He sleeps downstairs during the night with the other two and is mainly dry. We have had a few accidents but is getting better. When out on walks, he attracts lots of attention due to his good looks and laps up the ear tickles! He is really learning recall quickly and already knows ‘sit’. He passed the ‘pub’ test with flying colours and rewarded everyone who stroked him with a hand lick! He is growing into a friendly boy and some lucky family are going to have lots of fun with him.

Gino is fully vaccinated & microchipped and is ready to travel. He is still too young to be neutered so adopters will be asked to commit to doing this as soon as he is old enough.

The decision to adopt a puppy should not be taken lightly - Gino will need help to adjust to his new environment but if you invest time and energy into the advice we give you, he will adapt and become a well rounded dog. But please do not underestimate this can mean a few weeks of work.

IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ADOPT ON ARRIVAL PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AS WE ARE A SMALL TEAM AND ARE ONLY ABLE TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS IF ADOPTERS ARE READY TO ADOPT.

Our foster home has provided the feedback below:
Dog's name: Gino

Where does Gino sleep at night?
Either on the end of the bed or on a blanket down with our two dogs. He has slept well overnight since he has been here and has been dry and quiet..

How is Gino with current pets?
Gino loves to play with our two other dogs and loves a chew toy! Would love to be homed with another dog as he is inquisitive and sociable, if not other dogs then an active family who will play and interact with him but meet dogs on walks.

Is Gino clean indoors?
We have had a few accidents but only a couple of wee accidents but learning very quickly and is clean overnight.

Can Gino be left alone?
Yes.He can be left for a few hours, no barking or issues. W have spied on the camera and he is settled.

Is Gino good out on walks?
Yes. He walks nicely and well behaved on his lead. He is happy to sniff and hasn’t pulled. He is interested in things and is alert. Shows no fear of cars or traffic. Can be scared of loud motorbikes. He is off the lead and stays close to the pack.

How does Gino walk on the lead?
He is learning to walk nicely and learning some basic commands. Off lead good recall.

Has Gino met with other dogs?
Yes. He has met lots of dogs and ls very playful with other dogs when out. No issues at all.

How is Gino with humans?
Very friendly. He will allow people to stroke him and make a fuss of him. He loves to sit beside you on the sofa and be cuddled. He is very calm in the home and just craves human attention. Been to the pub and loves the social scene.

Have you noticed if Gino is afraid of any particular things?
Only loud motorbikes and the lawnmower. He hasn’t reacted to household items such as hoovers or washing machines.

Any other useful information? Not tested with cats or children, but his siblings are all fab with children so we do not see any issues. Gino does not guard his food.

Ideal home: Is fine with other pets and because he is very young and active, ideally, he would be suited with another dog and an active family/couple. He is clean and quiet, travels well in the car.
Gino is very affectionate and loves a sofa cuddle and loves toys.
Gino has not shown any bad traits at all, just a sweet active innocent boy who learns quickly and is so happy with his UK life. He loves exercise and food.
