Meet Finn who has just arrived from Crete and is settling down in his UK foster home while  he waits to find his forever family.

Finn’s mum was found abandoned with her 3 babies, so tiny just trying to survive, it is heartbreaking to think of the stress for poor momma, 3 babies no food, no idea where she is. Knowing they are all at risk.

Lucky for this little family they were found and saved, brought to a kennels for safety.
Mum found a home in Germany and the 3 babies remained. Finn was being bullied and we were asked if we could help him, so we said yes.

Finn is just 4 months old, weighing 9kg, he is likely to be medium sized when fully grown. Finn is good with dogs, people, cats and just a sweet pup. Finn is a typical pup and likes to play and is a lot of fun.

But puppies require walks, play time, training, Finn is a quick learner but any family will need to be prepare for a pup and have the time to invest in his continued training.
Finn is fully vaccinated and microchipped, but is still too young to be neutered so adopters will be asked to commit to doing this as soon as he is old enough.

Although he has spent a some time in foster in Crete and now in the UK, he is still in need of continued training. His new family will need to be prepared for the consistent work of introducing a pup to domestic life in the UK - basic training, walking on and off lead, getting used to noises and living in a home.

If there are no other dogs in the home then Finn will need to meet other dogs
regularly. So we ask that all applicants provide full details in their applications of their plans for routine, walks and socialisation.
Our foster home has provided the feedback below:
Dog's name: Finn

Where does Finn sleep at night?

Finn sleeps in his bed which is located in my bedroom, he sleeps throughout the night and come and nudges me in the morning when he’s awake.

How is Finn with current pets?
Finn is currently living with Persil and is very good, he plays well with her and does respond when she is telling him he’s playing to full on. They share toys and beds well without issues.

He has met our cat and after an initial sniff he left him alone.

Is Finn  clean indoors?
We’re taking him out little and often to help him learn toilet training. He is clean during the night.

Is Finn  out on walks and how does he walk on lead?
Finn walks well on lead he’s currently walking a collar and harness. He likes being out and about exploring new places and has walked in different locations such as woods, fields and street walks.

Has Finn met with other dogs?
Finn had met lots of different breeds and personalities, he’s generally very good and meets them with nice manners. He can get a bit nervous with dogs that are barking but as he gets more confident in himself he’ll relax more with them.

How is Finn  with humans?
Finn can be a little unsure to start with but very quickly comes over to play, have tickles or take treats.
He likes to hang out with you whether that’s helping with gardening, playing with toys or having cuddles when he’s tired.
Finn could live with children as he’s not to full on and plays nicely with toys.

Has Finn been left alone?
We’re slowly building Finn up to be left and doing little and often throughout the day. He can currently do 20min.

Have you noticed if Finn is afraid of any particular?
Finn is a lovely boy and has a few things he’s not confident around, the main one being traffic especially big lorrys  or noisy motorcycles. With regular road walks to expose him to these noises and build his confidence Finn will improve.

The perfect family for Finn

Finn is a cheeky sweet boy who loves his toys, cuddles and to play with both people and dogs.

He’s adapting well to uk life and is already out walking, meeting people and other dogs. Finn has been to a cricket game, the pub and group walks in lots of environments. His new family will need to continue taking him to lots of new places in order to raise a confidence pup.

Finn could live as an only dog or with another dog(s). If he was an only dog he will need to meet dogs regularly out on walks.
