Fergus is one of six puppies which were abandoned near a supermarket distribution centre in Crete, it wasn't a safe place for them as lorries came in and out all the time and they could have easily been ran over, and with no mum to look after them they simply would not have survived, so they were scooped up and put into foster. They will join us at the end of this month once they are old enough to travel.
They are mix breed puppies and though we do not know the breeds they are mixed, due to their current size and weight, they will grow to medium, and possibly to the larger side of medium but this is not 100% as they were found without their parents, so anyone applying should be prepared for a medium size adult dog.
Fergus is fully vaccinated, microchipped but is to young to neutered so his adopter must commit to doing this as soon as old enough.
He is a happy boy, friendly and sociable with dogs. His foster home has cats and he has been fine with them, but any adopter with cats must be prepared to carry on any training that is required to bring balance between puppy / cat, and to understand that it may take sometime for the cat to accept the new addition into their home.
As with all puppies, adopters applying must be prepared for toilet training, teaching the puppy to walk on a lead and any other training they need. Puppies need regular socialising with other dogs and dog friends now and into adulthood, two walks a day and to be taught early on to be left for short periods to stop any separation anxiety developing.
We will only consider applications that match our criteria and are ready to adopt and can bring a dog home from the arrival date.
