Domino a daughter of Mumma Sophia who arrived a few weeks ago.
Mumma Sophia was in the shelter with 6 pups, desperate to get free, miserable and so sad.
Mumma Sophia was not interested in her pups, we soon realised they were sick. So Mumma was removed and we tried to save the pups. Only Domino and Jasper survived.
Domino waited in foster until ready to travel.
Domino loves other dogs and so we want her to have another dog in the home under 8 years old. If no other dogs then must explain socialisation plan.
Domino is a lovely girl but her family need to be aware of the work involved in training a pup.
With the right boundaries and guidance pups will all easily adjust and make a great family pet. We ask our adopters to be 100% sure they are ready to commit to the training and hard work required.
IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ADOPT IMMEDIATELY PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AS YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REPLY.
Our foster home has provided the feedback below:
Dog's name: Domino
Where does Domino sleep at night?
So far she has slept in my bedroom on a dog bed. She slept soundly until 4am and then needed the toilet. She went to the toilet outside and then went back to sleep until about 7am.
How is Domino with current dogs/animals?
She currently lives with my resident 3 year old Labrador. She is perfectly happy around him and follows his lead. Domino lived in foster with other dogs in Crete and on issues.
She hasn’t interacted with any other types of animals.
Is Domino clean indoors?
Yes she has had no accidents in the house at all, so far
Can Domino be left alone?
I haven’t tried it for more than a few minutes but I’ve left her downstairs when I’m upstairs and she’s perfectly ok with that
Is Domino out on walks?
Yes she has been out on her first couple of walks and loves it. She loves sniffing her new surroundings and running about. She is pretty confident out and about and loves watching people!
How does Domino walk on the lead?
Domino is, of course, not yet fully trained on the lead but has been quite happy on our walks.
A couple of times she has got a little worried and asks to be picked up on her walk, but I haven’t allowed her to do that and have insisted she carries on walking,
Has Domino met other dogs?
As mentioned above, she lives with my 3 year old Labrador and is really confident around him
She has not been fazed by other dogs we’ve walked past.
How is Domino with humans?
She is very confident around humans! She loves watching them walk past on walks and has met a few people on our walks. She would go up and say hello to everyone if she could!
Have you noticed that she is afraid of any particular things?
Occasionally she had for a little startled at a loud unexpected noise, but all totally normal for her age.
What kind of home do you think would be suitable?
Domino would settle well into a family which has the time to show her the ropes of living in a happy home. She is very confident and easy going and loves exploring and sniffing. She loves people so a household where she’s included in daily life and treated like a member of the family, would be lovely for her.
