Next up to find her home is the wonderful happy Maisie.
Maisie has lived far too long in a South Korean dog meat farm.
How her life has changed thanks to Humane society International/UK. She was confined in a wire mesh cage, not even a floor, just wire, destined to be slaughtered and end up on a dinner plate. But now is living the dream in the UK as all dogs should, having love, walks and safety.
We are now happy for her to move to a forever home.
An important thing to consider is that Maisie has just come into season, normally we would wait for her to complete a season but she is becoming attached to her foster home and its best for her to move into her forever home and settle there forever.
Below is what her foster mum has said about her:
Dogs name: Maisie
Where does Maisie sleep at night?
Maisie sleeps in our bedroom in her own bed. She is very good and stays there all night. Maisie is great little sleeper and loves laying in her bed.
How is Maisie with current pets?
Maisie is wonderful with our two dogs. She was a very good girl when meeting them both for the first time especially as they are alot bigger than her. She does have a little play with then every now and again.
Is Maisie clean indoors?
Completely clean. We have had no accidents at all since having Maisie.
Can Maisie be left alone?
Yes Maisie has been left for up to two hours and she was a very good girl. She laid on the sofa and slept while we were out..no accidents and happy to see us when we arrived home.
Is Maisie out on walks?
Maisie is brilliant on walks. She can be a little wary of loud noises and cars she likes to stop and have a good look at what is making the noise. She likes to have a good sniff and likes to look over peoples front walls. She is very nosey!
How does Maisie walk on the lead?
Maisie is brilliant on the lead doesn't pull and sometimes checks for reassurance when walking on a main road.
Has Maisie met with other dogs?
Maisie is brilliant with others dogs, happy to meet other dogs on a walk and have a sniff. She isn't very fussed about playing with other dogs on walks but happy to say hello and move on.
How is Maisie with humans?
Maisie is very affectionate with us at home and loves cuddles on the sofa. She is super friendly and greets everyone that comes in the house. Maisie really enjoys human attention. She is very welcoming of people coming into the house. We had some friends over at the weekend and she wanted to be stroked and cuddled by them.
Have you noticed if Maisie is afraid of any particular things?
Maisie isn’t particular scared of the hoover but she doesn't like it. She will leave the room where you are hoovering but will return as soon as the hoover is put away. She is a bit wary of people on walks but if they approach her slowly and get down to her level she will say hello and let them stroke her.
Any other useful information?
Maisie’s confidence is growing everyday. She is a wonderful dog who loves her food and loves bed time with cuddles..she is quite fussy with treats but she knows what she likes. She is a very affectionate dog and loves human attention. Maisie always likes to know where I am and sits by me if I am doing something. She will make a wonderful companion.
Justine says Maisie is a wonderful girl who loves human affection and will enjoy living in a home with a family who can offer her lots and lots of cuddles. Maisie wouldn’t be fussed living with another dog but if there was another dog in the household she would have a little play every now and again. Maisie can be wary of certain things in the house until she is used to them and I think she would benefit from a family who can offer her patience and guidance until she is fully comfortable. Maisie loves to explore and sniff and would love a family who can offer her a lovely garden and lots of walks.
