Stanley in the shelter in Athens for at least 4 years. With his little buddy Coco.
They never once lost their cheerfulness and even in such conditions never lost hope of a better life.
On our recent trip to Athens he was there all happy to see us and desperate to leave his cage. When we went on walks, he was always off lead and such a good boy. He never ran away and always came to check we were ok, had a quick cuddle, then off he went again.
Stanley is a hound type breed, gorgeous big ears, he is neutered, sociable, affectionate and well behaved and whoever adopts him will be very lucky indeed. ️
Well his life starts now, he has arrived to the UK and joined our Chimney Farm family in foster with Sally and Stephen and what a poppet he is.
Sally has written a few words:
"Stanley arrived from Crete on Thursday night, with his companion Coco. We initially thought they should be placed together, but having monitored them closely, I think that Stanley would do better without her. I would describe him as a medium sized boy, his date of birth in his passport is 2014, and we know that he has been in the shelter for at least four years. Despite such a sad start in life he is proving to be a wonderful boy. He is very affectionate and eager to say hello to strangers, he walks well on the lead and is clean in the house, altogether a lovely boy who would probably enjoy a doggie companion, but might be equally happy with an owner who has lots of time for him. He has a few small injuries which we are taking care of, otherwise he is perfect in every way."
Stanley deserves the best possible future, he is free from confinement and enjoying his UK life.
