Our sweet Larla arrived 26th June and has been in foster to let her adjust to home life and she has blossomed.
Larla lived on the streets in Portugal and she was taken in by a family who took her to the vet to be sterilised. When the vet called them to say she was ready to go home they said you can keep her we don't want her, so a couple of days later she arrived at the shelter.
Our little lady is a bit lopsided, we do not know what happened to her face, but she has been hit and it made her face lop sided. No medical issues, she just looks a little wonky.
Larla is a calm, sweet well behaved girl, clean indoors and well behaved. She is a pleasure to have around. Larla does not like a busy household or children running around or being in her space. So we are asking for a calm home children free.
She is in foster in Shepperton and below is what her foster mum says about her.
Larla is now ready to find her forever family. She will need a few days of calm to settle in and adjust as another change for her. But she will adapt easily and be a great family addition.
Dogs name: Larla
Where does Larla sleep at night?
Larla sleeps on her bed in the kitchen, she sleeps all night without a peep.
How is Larla with current pets?
We have our own dog and Larla enjoys his company and likes to follow him around and takes interest in what he does but is very polite – I think she could live with or without another dog in the family.
Is Larla clean indoors?
Larla is 100% clean in the house and has not had any accidents.
Can Larla be left alone?
It has been difficult to leave Larla completely alone due to the current situation, but we did leave her at home today with our own dog, she paced for a while but soon settled down and slept until we was back.
Is Larla out on walks?
Larla absolutely loves to go out on walks, she appears very happy when we are out walking.
How does Larla walk on the lead?
Larla walks lovely on the lead, no pulling. We have also had her on the extendable lead and the long line, and I know that she will be a great off lead dog in the park or wooded walks once you have her full trust. She knows her name and her recall is already good.
Has Larla met with other dogs?
We have met some dogs in the park and Larla is interested, calm and polite with no problems at all.
How is Larla with humans?
Larla loves people but can be a bit wary at first until she gets to know them. She is not scared, just cautious.
Have you noticed that Larla is afraid of anything in particular?
Larla is very afraid of the sound of fireworks, we had some set off locally and she was pacing, panting and trying to find somewhere to hide.
Any other useful information?
Larla just wants to be loved and she wants to please you, she looks for reassurance and affection, she is the most beautiful and sweet girl. She would best suit a calm household that is not too busy or noisy.
