Key Adoption Criteria
We are a small team and can receive a large number of enquiries, especially for the puppies. We endeavour to respond to potential adopters within 48 hours, if our basic criteria are matched and suitable for applied for dog.
Due to the number of enquiries we receive, if you have not met the basic criteria and have not heard from us within this timescale, your application has not been approved.

- You must be in a position to adopt / take a dog home from the date it is available, or be immediately available for dogs in foster homes. Our home check process can be quick for ready, suitable families.
- Our minimum age for adopting a dog is 30 years. A large number of dogs are returned to rescues due to circumstances changing, especially when starting families / having children and the dog then becomes an extra expense, unable to walk or be given the basics they need, so are therefore no longer wanted and are returned. For this reason we are strict on this adoption criteria, and we ask anyone considering starting a family now or in the future to really consider all aspects before taking on a dog as they are also a long term commitment regardless of future changes.
- We require your garden to be secure with a minimum fencing height of 5ft (1.5m). Please only apply if your garden is fully secure (no broken or low fencing). We cannot reserve a dog pending completion of fencing installation.
- You must be able to travel to Fleet, Hampshire and / or local surrounding areas to meet our dogs with a view of adoption.
- We only allow meeting / reserving and adopting one of our dogs after a successful passed home check.
- In the case of puppies, or young dogs under 1, adopters must be under 65 years old. Our pups need a lot of training and are very active, for this reason we will not place an active 4 month puppy with older adopters.
- Our minimum age for children living in the home is 8 years old, please ensure you have checked the age restriction for the dog you are applying for as some have an older child restriction.
- We will not home a puppy with a family who have an older dog in their twilight years, over 10 years old. We do not agree with cross over dogs and feel it is not fair on the older dogs, puppies require different types of care to them, and their energy levels are much higher which can be too much for older dogs to cope with. We feel they deserve a peaceful quiet twilight.
If you don't meet any of these key criteria, please do not complete an adoption request form.
Responding to your enquiry
Our aim is to find our current available dogs loving forever homes so we hope you understand we need to concentrate on those applications from families who match our criteria, are ready to adopt, have decided which dog they would like to offer a home to and who closely match the dog's requirements.
When submitting an adoption enquiry form please ensure you have stated the dog you are interested in and provided all the information requested and needed. There is an option in the application form for you to provide extra information not explicitly requested, so please use this to let us know anything else that you feel is relevant to your circumstances.
We aim to respond to adoption enquiries that meet our criteria within 48 hours, sometimes our first email response can go into the spam / junk folder so please also kindly check there.
If your application is accepted, one of our re-homing team will contact you direct to discuss your enquiry, a home check will then be offered if successful, this is to ensure your home environment is suitable and you match the dog's needs that you have registered an interest in.
Our home check process can move quickly so please be ready to adopt, otherwise you could miss out on the dog you are hoping to adopt.
With some dogs, especially for our puppies, there is likely other potential adopters whose applications are also being processed at the same time as yours, and are being offered home checks. This means we are unable to promise or hold a dog for you before a home check has been completed / passed.
Once passed you can then meet the dog in their foster home which you will need to be prepared to travel too, or reserve the dog for meeting on arrival at our arrival home in Fleet, Hampshire.
We are unable to keep every enquiry updated on the 'current' status of each available dog. Our website is updated once a dog has been reserved or adopted so please kindly check there for updated status at the end of each day.

Our dogs
The dogs currently shown on this website will either be in foster homes and available now for adoption, or arriving into our care soon with the date showing in their individual profile.
Our dogs arrive to Fleet, Hampshire or the local surrounding area and our fosterers are based local to this area too. We do not deliver dogs, so once a home check has been completed, and it is a pass, any potential adopter must be willing to travel to the dog’s location to meet it and complete the adoption process.
Unless stated we do not know the breed of our dogs/puppies, they are all mixed breeds. Puppies are rarely found with their parents, so we cannot guarantee their adult size - we can only estimate the potential size each puppy will grow to.
We cannot guarantee how our dogs will be with cats, even if they have lived in foster with them. Cats can take at least 3 weeks to accept a dog coming into the home, this can lead to changes to normal behaviour, not eating or staying out more or becoming less affectionate, for example. So we ask families with cats to be fully aware and prepared to give time and patience for cats to adjust.
All dogs are microchipped, fully vaccinated and have been treated for fleas and worms. Generally our dogs over 1 year are neutered, unless otherwise stated. For younger puppies adopters must agree to neuter when the dog is mature enough.
A lot of our puppies / dogs have come direct from a shelter background so many have never lived in a home before coming into our care. Their new families will need to be prepared if required to teach them how to live in their home, toilet training, learning to walk on a lead and give them continued dog interaction to keep them socialised.
We ask that you consider all possible outcomes in the early days/weeks and that you are 100% committed to seeing the settling in phase through while the puppy / dog learns to live in your home.
Our adoption fee is payable prior to adoption or taking the dog home. We are not able to refund adoption fees after adoption.
